Thanks to all of you for being so patient and loyal to our community here. While the sneaky internet spammers continue trying to add content which has nothing to do with spirituality or mysticism, the real community members here will continue to hang tough, for we will surely build out a wonderful community structure of sharing here.
In the new year of 2008 the Mystic Blogs community will be receiving a community web software upgrade, so people here may find and share their information and insights more easily and completely. Your existing blog content and blog layout structures will remain the same, so no worries there. We simply plan to add more functionality and protection from front to back, in order to make your reading & posting life here easier and more fun.

Hello Everyone
Today our team decided that we are going to host the blog site on a different domain for two reasons, one, to free up this domain for my personal use providing web design and development services to the Keen community and elsewhere (Keen does not allow linking to any site that has advertising other than Keen) and two, because a “dot com” name is easier for the general public to remember (lots of people typing in mysticblogs.com and other variations that we do not own). This change will be taking place throughout the day tomorrow and you will find your subdomain at the new site, mysticblogs.com — ie; “yourdomain.mysticblogs.com.” I am going to send out an email notifying all of our users of the change tomorrow as well.

Some of you have probably noticed this “tagline” in your blogs up near the top of the page next to your blog title:
Just another Mysticblogs.com weblog
You are free to change this to your own tagline if you choose! Click on “Options” at the top of the page here, click on that and you will see the “tagline” simply fill that in with whatever you like to customize it, or if you do not wish to have a tagline, simply remove it and then save your changes!

We have lots of terrific features here at Mystic Blogs Network for our bloggers and I’d like to point one out in particular that should be very helpful, especially if you are a blogger who is establishing a blog for your business with us.
If you’d like to put up a page advertising your services, and force it to the front of your blog, with your blog entries behind it, click on the “about” link in your sidebar and fill out the page with everything you’d like your customers to know, then save. Go to your Dashboard and click on “Options” then click on “Reading.” Now, where it says “front page displays” select “a static page” then select “about” from the drop down menu and save! That’s it! Your personal “about” page will be forced to the front of your blog with your blog posts behind it.

Many new things are in store for the future as we grow our network. This blog will serve as a news and announcements blog for our bloggers in the network and will contain updated technical information, upgrades, updates and changes in service, business opportunities for you to monetize your blog.
We’ve been asked about templates recently and the answer is that more templates will be added as we go along. Right now there are about 18 to choose from, many of which have special metaphysical and holistic themes! We expect to add many mroe like this, very soon.
